Duke Nukem unveils his latest scheme to get radiation to feed on - using CMCs to burn holes in the Ozone Layer and magnify solar radiation through a giant lens to himself.

The Planeteers go to a laboratory and spot animals being exposed to radiation. Dr. Rottenberry thinks he is helping the animals to be better adapted to life without the protection of the ozone layer. Linka suggests that humans should replace the things we do that cause ozone depletion, but Dr. Rottenberry says that would require the cooperation of nations all over the world.

Dr. Rottenberry has a change of heart and wants to protect the ozone layer. Duke Nukem does not want people to find out how important it is to protect the ozone layer. Duke Nukem says that a few years with less ozone will create rising temperatures on the planet.

The Planeteers visit Chile and see that animals have gone blind and have rashes due to the sun.
