Due to the popularity and success of Ed's sauce, Ed's manager tells Ed that he will get 10 cents for every good burger that is sold. Looking to cash in on the opportunity, Dexter has Ed sign a contract to split the royalties 20-80 in his favor. After they sign the contract, Dexter prevents Ed from telling another employee the sauce recipe because he understands the risks associated with giving it away.
