In this scene, the native Powhatan fight the Jamestown settlers. In reality, the Anglo-Powhatan Wars were fought between these parties for a number of years. The clip also illustrates how the European settlers denigrated the Native Americans' beliefs.
In this scene, it is revealed that Pocahontas took seeds from her settlement and brought them to Jamestown so that the settlers could grow their own food and remain for longer. Later, she warns John Smith that the chief is angirly approaching Jamestown.
