Derek is tasked with performing a risky surgical procedure in order to remove a spinal tumor from a patient. He and Meredith discuss the problem and potential solutions. During the discussion, Derek draws a diagram of the spine that illustrates the issue the patient is facing. Derek faces a dilemma: if he cuts the cord, he will kill the tumor, but the patient will lose function in both of his legs. Derek tries to find a way to cure the tumor without cutting the cord.

He uses a cartoon clip to explain the anatomy of the nasal cavity and where mucus is produced. He then sets up a giant tube with nose hairs to show how the nose works. The hairs are meant to filter air before it goes into the body. Then he explains that snot and mucus trap bacteria and larger particles from going into the lungs. They blow feathers into one end of the "nose" and show that clean air is coming out the other end because the mucus trapped the feathers.

Beakman explains why we breathe and then uses an anatomical model to show which parts of the lungs were involved. He uses a balloon model and a jar to demonstrate how the diaphragm works and then an animated clip to show how oxygen gets into the blood and goes to the cells.

Beakman explains what pimples are by using an animated clip. He explains normal function of your pores and then how this can get turned into a pimple and what pus is. Then they explain how to prevent pimples.

Four-year-old Brielle teaches Ellen and the audience about the skeletal system. She identifies several bones, including the Clavicle, Skull, Patella, Scapula, and Sternum, and explains their function.
