This clip illustrates how the Yan kingdom attempted to assassinate emperor Qin Shi Huang. After the failed attempt, Qin Huang accelerated the war efforts and conquered all of the neighboring kingdoms within the next decade to achieve his dream of creating an empire.

This clip describes Qin Shi Huang's strict regime. He ordered the burning of books advocating for freedom of thought so that he can preserve his own law. When the intellectuals spoke out against the book burning, Qin ordered them to be killed.
