Opie decides to run away from home but doesn't know how to go about doing it. Andy uses reverse psychology to convince Opie that he doesn't really want to run away after all.
Opie and a man passing through Mayberry become friends. However, the man's free spirited tendencies start to rub off on Opie. Andy makes the decision to send the man on his way, to protect Opie and teach him the value of working hard, going to school, and respecting other people's property.
Homer tries to help Bart build a racer for the Soap Box Derby, but Bart wants to do it himself. Using reverse psychology, Homer convinces Bart to let him help.
