Estimating Spout's Height

Matt and Inez need to determine the correct cage size to obtain in order to safely fit Spout in it. They measure Spout's size in relation to Glowlas and find that eight Glowlas is roughly equivalent to one Spout. When they see Spout on television, they take the opportunity to estimate his size, in meters, by comparing him to a hotel. They choose the cage size based on their estimate.

In order to catch Buzz and Delete, the CyberSquad needs a fast way to get up the hill, and riding the tram isn't sufficient. Matt suggests taking the ski lifts, but they are too high. The group estimates the extra height it will need to reach the ski lifts, which approximates to two Matts. With the extra height provided by the picnic boxes, Jackie, Matt, and Inez reach the ski lifts.
Sometimes it is hard to make a reasonable estimate. Teacher Suzy equips her students with a technique for making quick and more accurate estimates.
The CyberSquad encounters a hole in the ice, and there is no way around it. The group looks in a nearby shed and finds barrels, which it uses to estimate the size of the hole. Digit helps the group estimate that 12 additional barrels will sufficiently fill the hole. The CyberSquad fills the hole with its remaining 11 barrels and crosses the barrel bridge successfully.
The students learn that they are able to be a little more creative with their measuring tools. Instead of simply using rulers, they begin to think of nonstandard measuring tools.
When an important package is passed on to Homer, he delivers it to Mr. Burns, the sender of the package. Mr. Burns then releases a disappointing booby trap; he is not well-versed in the metric system.
