The CyberSquad has available different-sized air tanks to travel to Crab Kingdom. The higher the capacity of the tank, the slower the bike. They try to estimate which tank size will be enough for the round trip to Crab Kingdom. Matt takes the six-minute tank to check how long it takes to travel to their first destination, which he verifies to be six minutes. While they can take the 18-minute tanks, they estimate high to be safe and decide to take the 24-minute tanks.

Matt and Inez need to determine the correct cage size to obtain in order to safely fit Spout in it. They measure Spout's size in relation to Glowlas and find that eight Glowlas is roughly equivalent to one Spout. When they see Spout on television, they take the opportunity to estimate his size, in meters, by comparing him to a hotel. They choose the cage size based on their estimate.

In order to catch Buzz and Delete, the CyberSquad needs a fast way to get up the hill, and riding the tram isn't sufficient. Matt suggests taking the ski lifts, but they are too high. The group estimates the extra height it will need to reach the ski lifts, which approximates to two Matts. With the extra height provided by the picnic boxes, Jackie, Matt, and Inez reach the ski lifts.
