The civilians of Bedford Falls all chip in to do their part to support the war. They begin their work with organizations such as the American Red Cross, United Services Organization (USO), and the Draft Board. Several of them crossed entirely into fighting the war. All involvement with the war wove its way into normal, day-to-day civilian life.
