Voter turnout is the amount of elegible people who can vote who actually do go and vote. For the 2016 election only 58% of people who were elegible (18 years and older and a citizen) actually voted which is less than other developed countries in the world.
The highlight of this episode is active participation in politics as everyday citizens. The song "Active Citizen" proceeds to name ways we can be more aware of they ways we can participate in politics: voting, city council meeting participation, learning policy, etc. It further encourages people of involve themselves in collective change by organizing.
