Jimmy gets tapped on the foot by a clothespin and allegedly gets hurt. The other kids in the cul-de-sac help him in his time of need. Eddy complains about the shift of attention from him to Jimmy, and Double D explains that humans are naturally attracted to the distress of others.
Eddy and Ed are excited about traveling to Spook-E-Ville, an alleged neighborhood where the residents give out a lot of candy on Halloween. Double D, however, isn't convinced that Spook-E-Ville exists. When making claims about Double D's intentions, Eddy puts the focus on Ed instead of himself in order to gain his sympathy and convince him to travel to Spook-E-Ville.
J.D. is mad at Dr. Casey and wants to talk to him. When he finds Dr. Casey, he realizes that he is suffering from OCD and keeps washing his hands as a result. J.D. feels sympathy for Dr. Casey and is no longer angry at him because he sees the anguish on his face.
