Robespierre struggles to understand the path France is taking and why some people are resisting the revolution. To save the revolution, Saint-Just convinces the other revolutionists that they need to accompany virtue with terror. Terror then becomes entrenched in the Revolution.
Mandy accidentally zips a fly's onto her body and a fly's body onto her head using a magical zipper. While taking a test, the fly's head spits on the test paper. Billy thinks Mandy is rebelling against the system and seconds what he perceives are her anti-establishment sentiments, causing other students in the class to rebel and vandalize the classroom.

Saint-Just gives an impassioned speech in which he calls for the death of Louis XVI. He believes the king to stand in the way of the French Revolution and enlightenment ideas.

Louis XVI is taken in a carriage and brought to la place de la revolution where he will be executed while Robespierre shuts himself inside his house.
