Japan's early history when it was ruled by an emperor. Like any feudal society, the nobility, the landowners liked to fight wars the samuria. Near the end of the first millennium, the samuria were high demand, and so became organized. The imperial court in the Genpei War and defeated the Emperor, establishing the first ever shogunate.
