King Charles I enters the House of Commons to arrest five members of the House for treason. All of the convicted members except for Oliver Cromwell flee, and Cromwell uses his power in Parliament to prevent himself from being forcibly removed by the king. As a result of Cromwell's actions, King Charles dissolves Parliament.

Dusty and Kurt (El Padre) teach Dylan how to bowl. When he becomes frustrated and wants to quit, Kurt gives him an American-family pep talk.

In an address to Parliament, King Charles II conveys clearly that the next heir to the throne is the Duke of York. He states that the Duke being the heir is a right ordained by God and considers anyone who denies that truth an enemy. At the end of his speech, King Charles II declares Parliament dissolved and dismisses the members of the House of Commons.

The group members realize they sometimes have difficulty communicating in an orderly manner when making decisions. They insist on implementing a democracy in which everything will be fair. Emotion will be suppressed and reason will prevail.

King Shahdov is introduced to Rupert, a young boy who is an editor of the school magazine. Rupert goes off on a rant about political power and freedom. He claims that politics antagonize the people and that passports and monopolies place restrictions on individuals. He advocates for democratic values.
