Age of the Enlightenment →
In the post-order world of the Walking Dead, Negan is angry that Rick and his group killed a lot of his men. Negan expresses that he is their leader and orders them to give him their belongings. This scene illustrates the views of enlightenment thinker, Thomas Hobbes, that the absence of government and order would cause the world to be a war of every man against every man.
Contains profanity at the following moments:
Why is this a violent environment?
How is Negan able to make his demands?
Is Hobbes correct - would there be "war of all against all" in the absence of government?
